This coffee has a subtle floral and sweet caramel aroma. When brewed, notes of toasted almonds and chocolate come together to create a smooth, medium body cup of coffee with a lasting amaretto aftertaste.
Jesus Maria Pedraza and his family pride themselves on running their biodiverse and sustainable farm, La Granada. They produce specialty coffees and integrate the coffees with different species of bananas, plantains, black berries, corn, beans, yucca, and other native fruits. They also produce organic honey. They are able to produce all these goods while conserving and revitalizing water sources and wild forest, along with the existing waterfalls and diverse animal life on their 10 hectare piece of land.
Jesus is a true environmentalist. He has chosen to preserve the 300 year old native forest located on his land, instead of heeding to calls to destroy the trees and plant more coffee.
