Pour Over Brew Guide

Grind Level: Medium-Fine

Water Temperature: 205 Degrees F (recently off of the boil)

Time Required: 5 minutes

Serves: 4 small cups

Difficulty: Medium

Water Needed: 400mL

Step 1: To yield four small cups of coffee, grind about 5 heaping tablespoons (36 g) of whole beans until grounds are about as fine as table salt (medium-fine).

Step 2: Fold Melitta #4 filter at its seams, place it inside the dripper and put it on top of your mug or pitcher. Pre-rinse your filter and cup with hot water.

Step 3: Discard the rinse water and add coffee grounds.

Step 4: For the first infusion, pour about half of the hot water (just off the boil) and fully saturate grounds and allow coffee to bloom in filter for 30 seconds.

Step 5: For the second infusion, pour the rest of the water evenly over coffee bed in clockwise motion until filled to the top of the brewer or until mug is full.

Tip: Be careful not to pour too quickly and over saturate the grounds.

Step 6: Remove the dripper, stir the coffee, and serve immediately in preheated mugs.
